Iris Veyssiere is a young French artist with a background in applied arts, followed by studies in graphic design and art direction.
She expresses herself through her paintings by creating romantic landscapes represented by colors and geometric shapes.
In the Hills series, Iris explores the seasonality and temporality of imaginary places by playing with shades. Each canvas has a reading specific to each one which calls upon our personal feelings of memories experienced. The patterns fade away to leave room for our own personal images.
At the same time, Iris ventures into the personal images of others to create windows onto romantic views. "What is the landscape that make you feel good ?" From this question Iris created her Windows series. Through this process, she immerses herself in the stories to recreate them with her own inspirations that she draws from her daily life, her dreams and her travels.
